Dr. Aaron Alfred Lee, an internationally known keyboardist, pianist, and organist performed an Easter Concert at Indian Rock Village on Saturday, March 24, 2018. Sponsors for the concert were Pat Prudhomme and Walter Remond.
Dr. Lee was born in Malaysia. He began his organ studies at age eight. Three years later he captured the nation’s heart when he won the Malaysian National Electronic Organ’s championship. Eventually Dr. Lee moved to Texas where he became a student at the College of Music at the University of North Texas. He graduated Magna Cum Laude. He began his ministry as a Director of Instrumental Music moving later to Director of Music, then founder and director of a youth string quintet named ReZound and lastly into a full time organist, composer, and consultant.
While Dr. Lee has performed concerts all over the world from the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia to the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece; he considers his conversion to Christianity his greatest accomplishment.
Some of the instrumental pieces played included “Amazing Grace”,” Love Me Tender”, and “He Looked Beyond My Fault and Saw My Need.” Although our audience was not what he saw in the Olympics, he treated everyone he came in contact with just like they wore a gold metal.
A reception followed the concert. The dietary department at Indian Rock Village surpassed all expectations with platters of delicious fruits and a homemade white cake with butter cream icing decorated with musical notes.
It was a great time to fellowship and enjoy the seventy degree weather, alluring trees, and flowers in full bloom at magnificent Indian Rock Village.
Indian Rock Village would like to again thank Dr. Lee, Pat Prudhomme, and Walter Remond for this musical delight.
